Geexbox

GeeXboX (proper spelling: GeeXboX ) is a small multimedia Live CD that allows ( Theater PC Home) the operation of an HTPC and for the playback of audio CDs, DVDs, VCDs, but also of individual audio and video files was designed.

The multimedia distribution can be started from a CD and loaded into memory. After the live CD can be removed to insert for example an MP3 CD to play can. As boot option is also provides the ability to install GeeXboX to disk to boot from a USB flash drive or boot via network ( PXE).

The approximately 136 MB Linux distribution used to play the multimedia files that XBMC, which can play all major file formats.
