GEICO 400

The GEICO 400 is a race in the NASCAR Sprint Cup and takes place at the Chicagoland Speedway in Joliet, Illinois instead.

The race is relatively new in the racing calendar of the Sprint Cup and was first held in 2001 as Tropicana 400. Since the inaugural tournament, it is the 18th race of the season and immediately following the Coke Zero 400 in the first six years, it could win five different drivers, Kevin Harvick was the only rider to win the race in two consecutive seasons. Since the 2008 season, the race is held as a night race under the lights.
