Geistsee

Nature reserve

The Geistsee is a lake in the upper Guerbetal near Thun in the canton of Bern, Switzerland.

Location

The lake has an area of nearly one hectare and is located a few hundred meters northeast of the Dittligsees in the municipality of forestry Längenbühl.

Environment

The landscape around the Geistsee is hilly and partly wooded, especially south of the lake. There is a belt of reeds along the shore. The name of the lake does not refer to it on a ghost, but to the spirit of settlement to the north.

Use

The lake area is private and not open to the public.
