Gemballa

The Gemballa GmbH is a German automobile manufacturer and tuning specialist based in Leonberg. The company specializes in the performance improvement of Porsche cars and builds based on Porsche body shells own vehicles. Since 2012, vehicles of the racing brand McLaren regularly serve as a base for car creations in the model range of car tuning company.

History

1981, the company was founded under the name G- Topline Automotive GmbH & Co. KG Uwe Gemballa. Initially confined themselves to the incorporation of high-quality stereo systems and internal alterations to VW, Mercedes and Porsche vehicles. For the complete changes to the interior, all fixtures were mostly covered with Alcantara or leather. However, after later intervened the tags on the vehicles by increasing the performance of engines and changes the bodies heavily in technology, Mercedes and Porsche did not allow more to maintain their trademark on the vehicle. After the company's founder, Uwe Gemballa was kidnapped in February 2010 in South Africa, was opened by order of February 22, 2010 by the District Court of Ludwigsburg insolvency proceedings over the assets of the company.

The Gemballa vehicles are produced in Leonberg near Stuttgart. The Management and the exhibition space located in the Mollenbachstraße 17 in Leonberg, just off the A8 motorway.

Uwe Gemballa murder case

Since a business trip on 8 February 2010 after South Africa, the company's founder, Uwe Gemballa was missing.
