GENDEX

GENDEX (English Genealogical Index ) is the specification of a data format, are passed with the references to genealogical websites. A search server (eg FamilyTreeSeeker ) may collect this information and find centrally millions pedigree pages on the Internet.

GENDEX format

Each line of the ASCII file is the GENDEX record of a person. Each record consists of the following fields, with vertical bars | be terminated '.
