Germline therapy is the ( not yet realized ) method, inherited diseases based on a genetic defect to heal in all the progeny of a carrier of the defective gene. The healthy gene is employed in the germ cells of the wearer. This has the purpose to be represented by a fertilization in all body cells and all germ cells of all descendants, so that it can exercising its normal function. The germline is 1990 prohibited by § 5 of the Embryo Protection Act in Germany, as it is an artificial alteration of the genetic information of human germ -line cells.
