The 2005 GM Sequel

The General Motors Sequel was presented in 2005 at the North American International Motor Show in Detroit as a concept car.

Technology

Fuel cell technology is based on the HydroGen3 Opel and provides 94 kW. A lithium- ion battery supports the fuel cell as an energy store. This accumulator can in turn contribute 65 kW. For the four-wheel drive of 60 kW front-engine, two 25 kW wheel hub motors in the rear wheels provide. A top speed of 145 km / h are specified, the acceleration is from 0 to 100 km / h in 10 seconds. The systems designed for 700 bar pressure tanks can select up to 8 kg of hydrogen.

2006 an improved version of the sequel was introduced under the brand Chevrolet. With this improved vehicle a high-profile drive over 300 miles ( 480 km ) was completed without refueling.

Successor was the GM HydroGen4.
