General Pico
General Pico is a city in the northeast of the province of La Pampa, Argentina.
The city has an area of 2555 km ² and is situated at 143 meters above sea level. Since the land is very fertile, is operated in General Pico especially livestock and agriculture.
With a population of 53 352 ( 2001 census ), it is the second largest city of the province after the capital, Santa Rosa.
The railroad crossing between the West and South was a determining factor in the placement of this city. It was founded by General Eduardo Gustavo Pico, which governor of the province of La Pampa was.
General Pico has two very important basketball teams in the Argentine League: Pico Football Club and Independiente de Pico.
