General Santos

General Santos City ( Dadiangas ) (often abbreviated GenSan, the former name was Dadiangas ) is the southernmost city of the Philippines, on the south coast of the island of Mindanao. General Santos is a major seaport at the end of the bay of Sarangani in the Celebes Sea. In addition, the city has access to fertile Koronadaltal, where there are numerous farms and the Buayan River flows.

The name of the town goes back to General Paulino Santos.
