Genesis Archive 1967–75

Archive I - 1967-1975 is a 4- CD box set by British rock band Genesis and also the first part of the archives series from the year 1998 The archives I discovered the creative period of Genesis with Peter Gabriel as the singer from 1967-1975. . The first two CDs, a live recording of the concept album The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway is included. For this purpose, a concert was completely recorded on January 24, 1975 in Los Angeles. As singer Peter Gabriel and guitarist Steve Hackett in the preparations for publication of the archive with their musical interests were not satisfied, many vocal and some guitar tracks were re-recorded in 1995. This is also true for the information contained on the third disc, live recordings of various songs of the progressive rock phase of Genesis. On the fourth CD finally are recordings from the early days of Genesis in the late 1960s.

The phase of Genesis after the departure of Peter Gabriel and Phil Collins as a singer is from the second part of the Archives series, Archives II - 1976-1992, covered.
