Genetikk

Genetikk is a German hip- hop duo that stands at the independent label Selfmade Records. It is composed of rapper and producer Karuzo Sikk.

Career

Karuzo and Sikk originate from Saarbrücken. They met during their time at school know and started according to own data around the age of thirteen together to record music. Here, a hip-hop band that extended several times by members and was reduced again arose. About a year before its first publication, Karuzo Sikk and decided to work together under the name Genetikk as a duo.

In October 2010 they released under their group name Genetikk their first album fetus for free download. This had Sikk and Karuzo recorded in Paris. Fetus was arranged by reviews, for example through the website Mixtapesammelstelle.de, somewhere between " dirty realist gangster charm " Nate57 and "comic -like exaggeration of one's character " as Favorite. Both on the cover to the fetus as well as in music videos of the duo joined rapper Karuzo below with face paint on, similar to the style of the followers of Insane Clown Posse, known as Juggalos. In spring 2011 Genetikk announced their second album under the title Samsara for November 2011. It appeared then music videos for the songs incubation, genius and madness and Konichiwa Bitches. The video for Konichiwa Bitches was later cleared of Genetikk again, as it no longer met the requirements of the duo in his own words.

In early October, 2011, Karuzo the displacement of the album Samsara known. After pulse with another video was released for the second album in November 2011, the end of December, it was announced that Genetikk has signed an artist contract with the music label Selfmade Records. The title of the second album was subsequently changed to voodoo circus. With king of liars end of January 2012 another music video was released. In the video, the hip- hop musician DCVDNS has a guest appearance. In February 2012 Genetikk appeared as the opening act in the context of the Germany - tour of the U.S. hip-hop musician GZA. From February 4 to February 8, the duo was represented at four concerts of the rapper. Before the release of their second album Sorry appeared with another video conversion. On February 24, 2012 appeared on the internet store of independent labels as well as on iTunes Voodoo Circus as the first commercial album Genetikks. With this, the duo was able to reach # 1 on the iTunes charts. In April 2012 Genetikk occurred in the course of Oui je le suis European tour of the French rapper Sefyu at three concerts in the opening act on.

In October 2012 Genetikk signed a publishing contract with BMG Media Group Germany. At the same time this album Voodoo Circus was re-released on CD and vinyl on 30 November than October 26. From 20 October to 29 December 2012, the duo completed under the title " people, animals, AKKtraktionen " a joint tour with 257ers and DCVDNS.

On June 21, 2013 their album was released D.N.A. about the German hip- hop label Selfmade Records. It debuted at # 1 on the German album charts and was able to place charts in the top 10 Swiss and Austrians.
