Geng Huichang

Geng Huichang (耿惠昌, * 1951) is the Minister of State Security of the People's Republic of China.

Geng Huichang comes from the Hebei province. In 1985, he was deputy director of the " State Institute of International Relations " and from 1990 to 1995 director. It is alleged that he was the author of a book published in 1993 about international trade. In 1998, he became Deputy Director of State Security and was involved in the security arrangements for the Olympic Games. In August 2007, he was Minister of State Security.

He is an expert for the United States and Japan as well as trade and economic education. Its predecessor is Xu Yongyue. Geng Huichang is a member of the 17th CPC Central Committee in 2007.
