Genii Capital

Genii Capital is an investment company, which has its headquarters in Luxembourg. The Company is the owner of the racing team Lotus F1 team, which is active in Formula 1 since 2010.

Motorsport

On 16 December 2009 it was announced that Genii Capital would buy 75 percent of the Formula 1 team Renault. This was a board member Gerard Lopez at decisive. Less than a year later, on 8 December 2010, Renault also transferred the remaining 25 percent of the racing team to Genii Capital. Renault has since worked only as an engine supplier in Formula 1.
