Geo (automobile)

Geo is a former American automobile brand from the period 1988 to 1998. In the house of General Motors Corporation Geo the Chevrolet division was subordinate and subject to 1991 the U.S. market.

History

The brand launched in 1988 Geo sales on the North American Chevrolet dealers exclusively small cars and cars of the lower middle class, from the 1989 model year in the U.S., starting in 1992 in Canada. The brand existed until 1997, after which the models were marketed as Chevrolet. In Canada, GM operated the Asüna brand as Geo counterpart for the local Pontiac, Buick and GMC dealers from 1993 to 1995.

Geo Metro

As a Geo Metro ( 1988 to 2001; since 1998 as the Chevrolet Metro) GM presented the first model of the new brand as a successor to the Chevrolet Sprint. Geo Prizm

Geo Storm
