The Geoagiu (Hungarian Bózes - patak ) is a river that flows in the Romanian region of Transylvania in Hunedoara County.
It rises in the southern slopes of the Apuseni Mountains, and then continues to flow in a south-easterly direction before it empties into the small town of Geoagiu into the river Mureş.
On his river it crosses a predominantly hilly and wooded landscape with the community balsa. The residents it serves mainly as a water source, but the Romans have made it usable for agriculture.
Attractions
The Geoagiu shows especially in its upper reaches a large number of waterfalls of several meters height. He is thus one of the main attractions of the Hunedoara region and is also part of the local nature reserve.
