Geochemical Society

The Geochemical Society is an international scientific society for the promotion of geochemistry and cosmochemistry. It is based in the Department of Earth Sciences at Washington University in Saint Louis. It has about 3000 members worldwide.

It awards the VM Goldschmidt Award, the CC Patterson Award in Environmental Geochemistry and the FW Clarke Medal for Young Scientists. Its annual meeting is conferences in the VM Goldschmidt.

It publishes Geochimica et Cosmochimica Acta ( 24 issues per year, published since 1950) and is co-editor of Elements: An International Magazine of Mineralogy, Geochemistry, and Petrology ( 6 issues per year). It also publishes book series.
