Work

Geoffroy is probably the author of the Chronique de Philippe le Bel métrique or Chronique de rimée Geoffroi de Paris. This work on the history of France from 1300 to 1316 contains 7,918 stanzas and is valuable because the author was an eyewitness to many of the events described. So he says, among other things, the execution of the Grand Master of the Knights Templar, Jacques de Molay in 1314 and is the supposed transcript of the curse again.

Various short historical poems are also attributed to Geoffrey. He wrote 1314-1318 also several " dits " in Latin and French, including " Avisemens pour le roy Loys ", "You roy Phelippe qui ores raining ", " De alliatis " and " De la creation du pape Jehan ". Most of his writings deal with current political issues and are addressed to the French kings Louis Philippe X and V.
