Geoffrey Wright
Geoffrey Wright ( born 1959 in Melbourne, Victoria) is an Australian film director.
Life and career
1959 Geoffrey Wright was in Melbourne, Victoria was born. He attended the Swinburne Film and Television School and graduated with a diploma. He then worked as a film critic for Melbourne Age and 3AW radio.
Wright made his directorial debut with the short film Lover Boy, who won Best Australian Short Film at the Film Festival in Sydney and Melbourne. In 1992, he led the action film Romper Stomper directed and wrote the screenplay so. In the film, Russell Crowe and Jacqueline McKenzie received a starring role, which Wright became known outside of Australia.
