Geometric standard deviation

The geometric standard deviation ( GSD often abbreviated ) is a measure of dispersion of the deviations of the geometric mean.

In contrast to the arithmetic standard deviation in this case the product and not the sum is interpreted.

Commonly this statistical measure is especially in the natural sciences.
