Georg Albert Lücke

Georg Albert Lücke ( born June 4, 1829 in Magdeburg, † February 20, 1894 in Strasbourg ) was a German surgeon and university lecturer.

Life

Gap was the son of Johann Georg Karl gap and Caroline Sophie gap born Coqui. George Albert married Johanna Henriette Fanny gap Methfessel, daughter of music teacher and music dealer Georg Friedrich Adolf Methfessel.

Gap studied medicine at the Ruprecht -Karls- University of Heidelberg, Georg- August University of Göttingen and the Friedrich - University of Halle. Since 1850 he was a member of the Corps Vandalia Heidelberg. In 1854 he received his doctorate at the Frederick University Dr. med. Then he was there medical assistant, before becoming a lecturer Bernhard von Langenbeck in Berlin.

From 1865 to 1872 he was full professor of surgery at the University of Bern, and from 1872 at the Kaiser -Wilhelm- University of Strasbourg. He worked on the diseases of the thyroid and on war surgery.

From 1872, he was co-editor of the German Journal of Surgery and from 1879 the Germans surgery.
