Georg Ay

Georg Ay ( born June 9, 1900 in Quedlinburg, † February 1, 1997 in Linz am Rhein ) was a German politician. It was a member of parliament of the NSDAP.

Life

After attending secondary school in Quedlinburg and Halberstadt he enlisted in 1915 as a volunteer, which he claimed as his birth year 1898. After the war he took up an apprenticeship in 1921, he took over his father's business in Quedlinburg. He joined the NSDAP rose 1930 Ortsgruppenleiter and 1931 for district leader on. 1932 Ay was elected to the Prussian Landtag and 1933 to the City Council in Quedlinburg. He held the latter position until 1935.

From November 1933 until end of war Ay was a member of the Reichstag, which was meaningless in the time of National Socialism.
