Georg Faehlmann

Georg Faehlmann (born 5 Septemberjul / September 17 1895greg in Vladivostok, Russia, .. † March 8, 1975 in Bad Schwartau, Schleswig -Holstein) was an Estonian sailor.

His great- uncle was the Estonian philologist and physician Friedrich Robert Faehlmann. 1917 Georg Faehlmann began in Petrograd with the sport of sailing. In the IX. Summer Olympic Games in Amsterdam in 1928 was Faehlmann at the age of 32 years a member of the team of the Estonian Boots Tutti V, which won the bronze medal in the 6 meter class to Norway and Denmark. His associates were Nikolai Vekšin, William of Wirén, Eberhard Vogdt and his younger brother Andrew Faehlmann. With the Soviet occupation of Estonia Georg Faehlmann moved to Germany in 1941, where he lived until his death.
