Georg Krogmann

Georg Krogmann ( born September 4, 1886 in Kiel, † January 9, 1915 ) was a German football player. He played in both the club and the national team as a center half.

Life and club

Georg Krogmann played all his life with the storks as the club Holstein Kiel is called. In 1910, he was there when they lost against Karlsruher FV in the final of the German Cup, as well as on May 26, 1912, when Kiel was in the final against the same club again, only with the difference that this game won this time 1-0 could be. More successes Krogmann with its Kiel band is not recorded, he died in the First World War.

National

A few weeks before winning the German championship in 1912 debuted Krogmann in the dress of the national team. On 14 April, he was there when we reached after a sensational performance against Hungary 4:4. He left the Association a good impression, so he was taken with to Stockholm at the Olympics. There, however, they lost 1:5 against Austria and 1:3, again against Hungary.
