George Albert II, Margrave of Brandenburg

Georg Albrecht of Brandenburg ( born November 20, 1591 in Berlin, † November 29, 1615 in Sonnenburg ) was when George Albert II, Margrave of Brandenburg.

Life

Georg Albrecht, from the house of Hohenzollern, was a son of the Elector of Brandenburg, Johann Georg (1525-1598) from his third marriage to Elizabeth (1563-1607), daughter of Prince Joachim Ernst von Anhalt.

He followed his older brother Frederick in 1614 when Mr. Master of the Order of St. John in the Brandenburg Bailiwick Sonnenburg. He was invested by a comparison with the Electorate of Brandenburg by Duke Philip Julius of Pomerania and confirmed in 1615 the rights of the religious city Zielenzig

Georg Albrecht died age 24, of smallpox and was buried in the parish church of Kuestrin. His motto was " My tuna and life is devoted to God. "
