George Ian Boyd ( born October 2, 1985 in Chatham ) is a Scottish footballer who is since 2007 at Peterborough United. He currently plays on loan at Hull City.

Stevenage FC (2002-2007)

George Boyd debuted in the 2002/03 season at the British fifth-tier FC Stevenage. In the season 2004/ 05 he reached with his team's play-off final, but lost that game 0-1 against Carlisle United. In his last season in Stevenage, he scored ten league goals to January 2007 in the fifth league before he left the club.

Peterborough United ( 2007 -)

On 8 January 2007, the 21- year-old George Boyd from the English fourth division Peterborough United was committed. The rapidly establishing itself as a regular player Boyd (40 Ligaspiele/12 goals) won in the season 2007/ 08 with the runner-up in the United Football League Two, thus securing promotion to the third division. In addition, Boyd was elected on the end of the season PFA Team of the Year of the fourth league. This success was increased in the Football League One 2008 / 09, as the climbers succeeded thanks to yet another runner-up of the walkover in the second division. Again George Boyd was elected to the PFA Team of the Year. After a fourth place in the table, the club moved to a win over Milton Keynes Dons into a play-off final. 48 410 spectators at Old Trafford United Huddersfield Town defeated 3-0 and thus secured the ascent. With fifteen hits Boyd recorded by Craig Mackail -Smith ( 27- goal top scorer ) as the second best scorer of his team. In the Football League Championship 2011/12 succeeded the climber as a table Eighteenth relegation.

Having previously by another transfer on loan had failed to Nottingham Forest in controversial circumstances, joined George Boyd on February 21, 2013 on loan to Hull City.

Scottish National Team (2013 - )

In March 2013 George Boyd was first appointed to the Executive of the Scottish national team. After he had not come to use in the 1-2 home defeat against Wales, he played on 26 March 2013 in a 0-2 away defeat in the World Cup qualifier in Serbia his first cap for Scotland.
