George Charles of Hesse-Kassel

Georg Karl von Hessen- Kassel ( born January 8, 1691 in Kassel, † March 5, 1755 ) was a Prince of Hesse -Kassel and Prussian general.

Life

George was the tenth and youngest son of the Landgrave Charles of Hesse -Kassel (1654-1730) from his marriage to Marie Amalia (1653-1711), daughter of Duke Jacob Kettler of Courland. To supply he had received the Erblehengüter Walter Brück and Völkershausen.

He received his military training under King Friedrich Wilhelm I of Prussia.
