George Clinton (musician)

George Clinton ( born July 22, 1941 in Kannapolis, North Carolina, na A. in Plainfield, New Jersey) is a musician and producer. He is best known as the founder of P-Funk and head of the bands Parliament and Funkadelic.

Life

During the 50s, Clinton became interested in music. In 1955 he founded The Parliaments, allegedly in the back room of a hair salon. The late 60s, he managed to achieve first commercial success with various musicians under the band name and Parliament Funkadelic.

After the successful Parliament / Funkadelic - time was ended in 1980, Clinton worked on solo and In 1982, the album Computer Games out. At the same time he was back with the P- Funk All Stars active, which included many of his old comrades, including also funk legend Bootsy Collins. However, his fame faded over the course of 80 years, and he could not build on his earlier success in commercial terms.
