George Herbert Walker Jr.

George Herbert Walker Jr. ( November 24, 1905 *, † November 1977 ) was an American businessman and member of the Bush family. He was one of Urbesitzer the New York Mets, which he founded in 1960 together with Joan Whitney Payson.

His father was the wealthy American businessman George Herbert Walker. He is the father of Chief Judge John M. Walker, Jr., and U.S. Ambassador to Hungary George Herbert Walker III. He is the uncle of U.S. President George Herbert Walker Bush, to whom he had close relationships. " Uncle Herbie " half in the 1950s, President George HW Bush during his entry into the oil business. He was a member of the Yale fraternity Skull & Bones.
