George I, Prince of Waldeck and Pyrmont

George I ( born May 6, 1747 in Arolsen, † September 9, 1813 in Pyrmont ) was 1805-1813 Count of Pyrmont, and after the death of his brother Friedrich Karl August 1812-1813 Prince of Waldeck and Pyrmont.

Life

George was the son of Prince Karl August Friedrich von Waldeck (1704-1763) and Christiane (1725-1816), daughter of the Count Palatine Christian III. Birkenfeld. On September 24, 1812, he was a sovereign Prince of Waldeck Pyrmont and Rappoltstein.
