George IV of Georgia

Giorgi IV Lasha (Georgian გიორგი IV ლაშა; * 1193, † January 18, 1223 ) was from 1213 to 1223 King of Georgia.

Life

He was a son of Queen Tamara and David Soslans. Appointed in 1205 to co-regent of his mother, he was 20 years of sole ruler of Georgia. No sooner had he ascended the throne, tried various vassal states such as Ganja and Nakhchivan later to achieve independence and ceased their tribute.
