George N. Gillett, Jr.

George N. Gillett Jr. ( born October 22, 1938 in Racine, Wisconsin) is an American businessman and millionaire. He lives with his wife in Vail (Colorado) and has four sons.

He earns his money with the distribution of media and meat products. He owns several television stations, newspapers, and meat production factories. In addition, it includes summer and winter resorts. Also, a car dealership, a transport operation as well as a landscape gardening and sports and event event organizations ( Gillett Entertainment Group ) he calls his own.

Gillett is a sports lover and has several sports clubs. Below are the NHL hockey team, the Montreal Canadiens and Liverpool. This he bought along with fellow American businessman Tom Hicks for about 200 million euros in February of 2007. They also paid equal to the debt mountain of around 100 million euros. Other sources report of all 600 million euros as the purchase price. For Liverpool fans but both are frowned upon. In April 2010, they instruct the investment bank Barclays Capital trying to find a buyer for the club that is willing to invest an estimated 570 million euros.

1999 Gillett was elected by vote at a ski magazine among the " 100 most influential skier of all time". It was also included in the " Colorado Ski & Snowboard Hall of Fame" in 2005.
