George Roux

George Roux (* 1850, † 1929) was a French artist and book illustrator.

His best known works are a series of illustrations that he created for the science fiction novels of Jules Verne and who appeared in the series of Les voyages extraordinaires. He was by Léon Benett the second most active Illustrator by Jules Verne's stories and created the images for 22 of his books whose original editions by Pierre -Jules Hetzel were issued. The first of these was L' Épave you Cynthia ( " The wreck of Cynthia ", 1885) and the last L' aventure de la mission Barsac Etonnante ( The amazing adventures of the expedition Barsac, 1919).
