George Sarton Medal
The George Sarton Medal ( George Sarton Medal ) is the internationally most prestigious award for outstanding achievements in the field of history of science. It has been awarded since 1955 by the History of Science Society ( HSS). The company was founded in 1924 by George Sarton and Lawrence Joseph Henderson.
The first medal was the namesake of George Sarton in 1955, a year before Lent his death.
