George Stephan

Stephan George ( born March 30, 1862 in Cleveland, Ohio; † September 9, 1944 in La Jolla, California ) was an American politician. Between 1919 and 1921 he was Deputy Governor of the State of Colorado.

Career

About the youth and education of George Stephan nothing is handed down. But he must have studied law, he later worked as a lawyer. He arrived at an unknown date to Colorado. Politically, he joined the Republican Party.

In 1918, Stephen was elected to the side of Oliver Henry Shoup Vice Governor of the State of Colorado. This post he held 1919-1921. Yet he was Deputy Governor and Chairman of the State Senate. Between 1924 and 1929 he was a federal prosecutor for the State of Colorado. He died on September 9, 1944 in La Jolla.
