George Town (Cayman Islands)

Georgetown is the capital of the Cayman Islands. It has 27,704 inhabitants ( as of 2010), is located on the island of Grand Cayman, making it one of the British overseas territory.

George Town is the center of banking of the Cayman Islands. The city is the fifth largest financial center in the world. Most international banks, including the largest, are here present with branches. Near the town there are docks for cruise ships and the international Owen Roberts International Airport. Also, many offices of government administration in Georgetown resident, as that of the Leader of Government Business, which corresponds approximately to the head of government.
