George Tremblay

George Tremblay ( born January 14, 1911 in Ottawa, † June 14, 1982 in Tijuana ) was an American composer.

Tremblaey was a pupil of his father Amédée Tremblay. In 1929 he moved to the USA where he studied from 1936 with Arnold Schoenberg, whose staff he remained until his death. In Los Angeles in 1965, he founded a school for the research and development of new serial techniques. He composed, among others three symphonies, serenades, and a Epithalamium for winds, strings, piano and percussion, chamber music, several piano sonatas and a double bass sonata.
