George Wallerstein
George Wallerstein ( born January 13, 1930 in New York City ) is an American astronomer and professor emeritus of the University of Washington.
Wallerstein graduated from Brown University in 1952 with a BA and received at the California Institute of Technology 1954 MS and 1958, the doctoral degree ( Ph.D.). In 1965 he went to the Astronomy Department of the University of Washington, where he remained connected ever since.
Wallerstein's research focused on the chemical composition of stellar atmospheres and the interstellar medium.
