George Whitelock

George Whitelock ( born March 27, 1986 in Palmerston North, New Zealand ) is a New Zealand rugby union player in the position of winger. His three brothers, Adam Whitelock, Luke Whitelock and Sam Whitelock are also New Zealand rugby union player. His father also Braeden Whitelock is a former rugby player for the Junior All Blacks and his grandfather Nelson Dalzell was a New Zealand rugby national team.

Like his brothers, he went to high school in Feilding to school. As a youth player he was in 2005 captain of the New Zealand U-19 national team and captain of the 2007 U-21 national team.

In 2007, Whitelock also debuted for Otago in the New Zealand RFU Rugby Championship. In his first season he missed only two games of Otago. However, after he joined the Canterbury RFU, as already because he has enrolled at Lincoln University his brothers Adam and Sam. He did not appear, unlike his brother Sam, but in the rugby club of the university, but went to the Christchurch High School Old Boys RFC, as his brother Adam. 2009 George Whitelock was named Sportsman of the Year of the university, as a year previously Sam. With Canterbury it was 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011 New Zealand champion. Since 2009 he has further captain of the team since 2011 and his brother Luke also plays for Canterbury.

In 2008, he debuted at the Crusaders in the Super Rugby, where Adam and Sam play. At the end of the season he was able to win with the Crusaders the title. 2009 and 2010, he failed with them in the semi-finals and the finals in 2011.

In 2009, the first time was a nomination for the New Zealand national team ( All Blacks ). Its currently the only international game he graduated from the Italian national team when he came on, and in his first game for the All Blacks scored a try.
