George William Fullerton

George William Fullerton ( born March 7, 1923 in Hindsville, Arkansas, USA, † July 4, 2009 in Fullerton, California, USA) was involved as a friend and companion of Leo Fender in the development of the electric guitar.

He worked from 1948 to 1970 in the musical instrument manufacturer Fender Musical Instruments and contributed to the emergence of the famous Fender musical instruments such as the Telecaster, the Stratocaster, the Precision Bass and Jazz Bass. After his departure from the company he worked for Fender back later with Leo Fender, together with whom he the company G & L Musical Instruments founded in 1980. In this company, he worked in the development department and later practiced until his death from the function as a consultant. In 2010, George Fullerton of Fender Musical Instruments was recorded at the same time with Jimi Hendrix in the Hall of Fame.
