Georges Chaperot

Georges Chaperot (* April 21, 1902 in Brest) was a French screenwriter who was nominated once for an Academy Award for best original story.

Life

Chaperot, who had written the scripts and templates for six films 1936-1948, was nominated for the Academy Awards in 1948 for the Academy Award for best original story, either together with René Wheeler for The Nightingale cage (La Cage aux Rossignol, 1945) by Jean Dréville with Noël- Noël, Micheline Francey and Georges Biscot.

The artwork for this film served as the basis for the 2004 incurred under the direction of Christophe Barratier The film The Chorus (Les choristes ).

As a director, he staged in 1951 Dolorès et le joli coeur, contributed the soundtrack for the Maurice Franck. His grandson is the actor Emmanuel Patron.
