Georges Dancigers

Georges Dancigers ( born February 17, 1908 in Tukkum; † November 1, 1993 in Neuilly -sur -Seine, Hauts -de -Seine ) was a Russian- French film producer.

Biography

Georges Dancigers in 1908, born in Tukkum (now Tukums, Latvia), then part of the Russian Empire. After the outbreak of the Russian Revolution, he fled to France, where he began in 1934 to work as a film producer while his brother Oscar Dancigers emigrated to Mexico and there produced the films of surrealist film director Luis Buñuel. In 1945, Georges Dancigers together with the also immigrated from Russia Alexandre Mnouchkine ( 1908-1993 ) and Francis Cosne ( 1916-1984 ), the production company Les Films Ariane, who was named after Mnouchkine born in 1939, daughter Ariane Mnouchkine.
