Georgi Markov (weightlifter)

Georgi Markov ( Bulgarian Георги Марков; born March 12, 1978 in Burgas, Bulgaria ) is a former Bulgarian weightlifter and world record holder in the snatch with 165.0 kg in class to 69 kg.

Sporting career

Markov, the Olympic champion in 2000 in the class to 69 kg in 2003 was transferred to the World Championships in Vancouver for the first time of doping when he and two of his teammates, Galabin Bojewski and Zlatan Vanev, had made ​​the same urine sample.
