Georgi Petkov (footballer born 1976)

Georgi Petkov (also written Georgi Stoyanov Petkov, Bulgarian Георги Петков; born April 14, 1976 in Pazardzhik ) is a Bulgarian football goalkeeper.

He began his career with PFC Hebar Pazardzhik ( Bulg Хебър Пазарджик ) and came 2001 on Slavia Sofia Levski.

In Levski he was to the Europa Leage match on 30 September 2011 against Sporting Lisbon, the undisputed number 1 and played the 2005/ 06 UEFA Champions League, retired with his club but in the first round out. After the game in Lisbon, which was lost by Levski 5-0, he was seen as the main culprit and sorted out by the squad. In January 2011, he was able to release his contract with Levski mutual agreement and joined in the winter break of the season 2020/11 for Cypriot Enosis Neon Paralimni.

Georgi Petkov came in 2005 his first appearance in the national team of Bulgaria and played eleven games since then. He is currently the second goalkeeper Dimitar Ivankov behind.
