Gerald Hillringhaus

Gerald " Gerry " Hillringhaus ( born June 22, 1962 in Munich ) is a former German football goalkeeper.

Career

Hillringhaus began in 1972 with TSV Gilching - Argelsried playing football. Between 1980 and 1985 he played for TSV 1860 München. From the 1981/82 season he was there for the first team, but came to no use in the second league. After descending into the Bavarian League 1982 he became first-choice goalkeeper; completed in the following season, however, just a game. In the summer of 1985 Hillringhaus moved to the second league to SpVgg Bayreuth, whose goalkeeper he was.

After an engagement at the 1 FC Kaiserslautern Hillringhaus played until 1990 when SV Türk Gücü Munich. With the selection of the national association Bayern he won in 1990 in Grünberg against the selection of the National Association Baden 3-0 the countries ' Cup amateurs. Prior to this success, he was granted an award of another kind: On September 23, 1989 Hillringhaus succeeded in the 89th minute against Ingolstadt ( Bavaria League ) by scissors kick after a corner to make the score 1-1 draw. The gate was chosen by the viewers of the sports show on the goal of the month. After he took part in an indoor tournament at the Olympic Hall, at the next door Gücü and FC Bayern Munich, TSV 1860 Munich and Galatasaray, was voted the best goalkeeper of the tournament, the Bavaria undertook the goalkeeper for the season 1990/91 for its amateur team.

First, he was a third goalkeeper to even the first team in 1991/92 he was then the second goalkeeper of Bayern. Raimond Aumann Injury failure brought Hillringhaus 21 appearances in the first team, including 17 in the Bundesliga. After he was not there been used, he went to Tennis Borussia Berlin in the Bundesliga 2. There he graduated in the 1993/94 season as first-choice goalkeeper 31 inserts. After he finished his professional career.

After the End of career

After the end of his career as a professional player Hillringhaus was active for several teams from lower leagues, including from November 1994 again at Tennis Borussia Berlin in the Regionalliga Nord, at the 1 FC Garmisch -Partenkirchen, FC Emmering (1997 to 1999), TSV Herrsching (1999 to 2001); partly he was also player-manager. In March 2004, the goalkeeper returned to the football field and played for SV Pullach.

A commitment as a goalkeeping coach at SC Fürstenfeldbruck for the season 2006 /07 he refused. Instead, he guards in January 2007 again the gate of the SV Pullach, for which he plays when needed in both the first and in the second team and works as a goalkeeping coach. Gerald Hillringhaus belonged partly to the all-star team of FC Bayern Munich.
