Gerald Patterson

Gerald Patterson (born 17 December 1895 in Melbourne, † 13 June 1967 ) was an Australian tennis player.

He lived mainly by his powerful acting and his strong serve, which earned him the name "Human Catapult ".

In the years 1919 and 1922 he won the item at Wimbledon. He also won in 1927 in singles at the Australian Open.

In doubles, he won from 1914 to 1927 at the Australian Open 5 times in total, at the U.S. Open he won in 1919 in doubles with his compatriot Norman Brookes.

Patterson also played from 1919 to 1928 for his country in the Davis Cup.
