Gerald R. Molen

Gerald R. "Jerry" Molen ( born January 6, 1935 in Great Falls, Montana) is an American film producer and actor.

Short Biography

Molen is a longstanding partner of Steven Spielberg, who started his work in film in the 1970s as a transportation coordinator. In the 1980s, moles manager was among others in The Postman Always Rings Twice and The Color Purple. The latter film provided Molens first collaboration with Spielberg dar. His debut as a producer was 1991 moles in Hook. In the coming years, he has co-produced many other films Spielberg, including Jurassic Park, Schindler's List, The Lost World: Jurassic Park and Minority Report.

He also participated in some Spielberg films in small supporting roles, including Jurassic Park, Amistad and last in Catch Me If You Can. Here, however, he used mostly the name Jerry Molen. Other films in which moles but producer was involved mostly as Executive, Rain were Man, Days of Thunder and Twister.

Film Awards

In addition to a BAFTA Award and a Laurel Award, which he received both in 1994, he won with Steven Spielberg and Branko Lustig at the Oscar ceremony in 1994 an Oscar for Schindler's List.

In addition, moles with two Directors Guild of America Awards for Rain Man was excellent and The Color Purple.
