Gérard Blitz (entrepreneur)

Gérard Blitz ( born February 28, 1912 in Antwerp; † 5 March 1990 in Paris) was a Belgian entrepreneur and Yogi.

He was the son of the diamond merchant and a water polo player Maurice flash and nephew of Gérard Blitz, who was also a water polo player and member of the Belgian Olympic team.

During the German occupation in the Second World War Blitz participated in the French resistance movement.

On April 27, 1950, he founded the Club Méditerranée and opened the first resort on Mallorca / Spain. He is considered the inventor of the "all-inclusive resort".
