Gerardo Galeote Quecedo

Gerardo Galeote ( born January 27, 1957 in São Paulo, Brazil ) is a Spanish politician (PP). He was from 1994 to 2009 Member of the European Parliament in the EPP- ED Group and since 2004 Chairman of the Committee for Regional Development. He was a member of the Executive Board of the European People's Party.

2009 were collected from sites of the Spanish investigating judge Baltasar Garzón against him, to be a corruption scandal within the PP involved in the case belt,, . Galeote was therefore - according to his testimony at his own request - not been prepared for the European elections of 2009 of his party.
