Gerben-Jan Gerbrandy

Gerben-Jan Gerbrandy ( born June 28, 1967 in The Hague) is a Dutch politician of the party Democraten 66

Life

After school Gerbrandy studied at Leiden University Administrative Science. After his studies, he worked for a year in the United States and after that he worked as an employee for the politician Joris Voorhoeve. From 1994 to 1998 Gerbrandy for the politician Doeke Eisma worked as employees. Gerbrandy is a member of the left-liberal party Democraten 66 Since 2009 he has been deputy of the 66 democrats in the European Parliament and member of the Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe.

As a member of the EU Parliament is Gerbrandy Deputy Chairman of the Committee on the Environment, Public Health and Food Safety and the Delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly EURO- NEST. As a member, he is also on Budgetary Control and the Delegation to the Parliamentary Cooperation Committee EU-Moldova. He is also a deputy in the Budget Committee, the Delegation for relations with the Maghreb countries and the Arab Maghreb Union and the Delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union for the Mediterranean.
