Gerbrandy Tower

Gerbrandytoren ( incorrectly referred to as Grand gates Brandy Brandy or Grand Tower ) is the tallest building in the Netherlands.

The tower stands between Lopik and IJsselstein ( near Utrecht) and is designed as a hybrid tower: It consists of a 100 meter high concrete tower on which a guyed steel tube mast is attached. It is named after Pieter Sjoerds Gerbrandy, a former prime minister and later Nozema - chairman in the 1950s. After construction in 1961 the total height was 382.5 meters; In 1987, he was reduced to 375 meters.
